Have you ever had a party...you set the table, clean the house, set out the flowers, shine all the windows, vacuum all the floors, light all the candles, scrub every bathroom, mop the kitchen... and the guests never show? That's how I feel every time I clean (like a crazy lady),decorate, and stage my house for a showing for another realtor. I have been preparing for this party at least 30, 40, maybe 5o times now. But still no one is interested. My kids have been great helpers. Their rooms are always clean. They've vacuumed, dust, and put up with me for the last 11 months. But still no party!
Through all of this, I am still hopeful. I have to be or I would be insane to keep putting my family through this. Everyone has a positive word..."it's the market", " you have to wait for the right person", "don't worry, someone will buy it". I'm grateful for them but sometimes hard to listen to. There are no more explanations for my house, I've used every comment about it, so now I've just turned to nodding in agreement as I hear another person giving me advise. For all those who are in my shoes ( or who's been there), I promise not to give you any advise about selling your house. We can just nod at each other in agreement.signing off as..."the party-pooper"
