{ week one }

I've started the first week of training/running. It's always hard in the beginning. I decided to take a step aerobics class and then played volleyball for an hour instead of walking on the treadmill. Both kids have been home sick so I've been working out in the evenings. Tuesday was a rest day...good thing (kids still home sick and we were expecting snow). So I made up for it with yesterdays workout. I know I 'm suppose to start out slow, which I have. I've been walking on the treadmill and taking step classes for a few weeks now. I was in a hurry to get 2 miles in on the treadmill, so after a few minutes of warm-up, I decided just to run the whole 2 miles (slow). Surprising myself...I did it and felt pretty good afterwards. My ankle is still a bit sore but other than that it was a good run!
